Close monitoring is required w/ frequent or prolonged use in dry eye patients, or in conditions where cornea is compromised. Do not wear contact lens if eyes are red. Not for the treatment of contact lens related irritation. Wait at least 10 min after instilling this drug before inserting the contact lens in patients who wear soft contact lenses & whose eyes are not red. Permanent heterochromia can happen. Treatment may be stopped if increased iris pigmentation ensues. here is no experience in inflammatory, neovascular, angle-closure or congenital glaucoma, open-angle glaucoma of pseudophakic patients, pigmentary glaucoma, acute attacks of closed-angle glaucoma. Macular edema. Contact lenses should be removed before instillation of the eye drops & reinsert after 15 min. Not to be administered while wearing contact lenses. Patients w/ history of herpetic keratitis. Avoid in cases of active herpes simplex keratitis. Transient blurring of vision may impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy & lactation. Not recommended for use in childn.
